So i was buying an second hand old video card from a guy off kijiji and he gave me a NOS asrock K8Upgrade-VM800 motherboard.
It takes an athlon 64 3700+ at the top end of it's specs.
I figured that someone must have one somewhere that isn't $100 including shipping.
I can buy an entire used 'puter for that price.
Let me know if you have one and are willing to ship to Canada

Problem is you are looking for a socket 754 which was almost absolete when the 3700+ came out -- so the higher end socket 754 athlons are hard to come by and thus more $$. Figure the 3200+ was only 400MHz. slower than the 3700+ and could usually be OCed 5 - 600MHz. on air so performance would be about the same as a stock 3700+.
