Allo,
Got an issue that's been bugging me for a while that I've got a bit further with this morning but now stumped again.
I'm running GM 0.164 on XP using an arcadevga, set up using H9110 in vmmaker. The monitor is mounted horizontally. When playing pacman there is very noticable choppy audio, which doesn't happen if I set the rotate to either 90 degree value. So it's essentially then playing at proper resolution.
Is there any way to fix this?

Is there any way to fix this?
groovymame pacman -multithreading

Can i just turn on multithreading in mame.ini or is it best to see if I can get my FE to let me run individual roms with that switch?

In my case I prefer to have it enabled in mame.ini.

Thanks for the advice Cal.
Enabling Multithreading in mame.ini fixed the issue in Pacman, however another issue has just decided to show up and I'm not sure if it's related.
I decided to run VMMaker using the 0.164 to see if I had better results with it this time after rolling back to a previous version the last time I generated my modelines.
Now whenever I run a vertical game like Paman or Bombjack, the aspect ratio is as though I have set the VMMaker ini to 3:4 (it is still set at 4:3 however). What else could be causing this? As it's giving me sound dropout similar to the original issue.

We already discussed that issue here: http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/topic,135823.msg1520276.html#msg1520276 (http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/topic,135823.msg1520276.html#msg1520276)
You can't use the newer versions of GM with VMMaker until I update the binary. There's absolutely no need to run VMMaker each time you update GM.

Thanks for the advice, Cal. I reverted to 160 to generate the modelines, all fine now.
