Missile Command upright
Super Spacefortress Macross upright

Ms. Pac-Man upright (with a Spaeth 6Pac installed)
Janky Kong (working on making this a proper Vs. Unisystem)
-
Pinballs:
Spectrum
Alien Poker
Suspense
World Cup Soccer 94
4 MAME cabinets including Konkey Dong, Turtle Box, et al

I don't have an OG arcade cab card.
Emulator stand up cab linked in my sig.
Emulator driving cab (will be put back together after floors are refinished)
Megatouch XL Platinum sitting on a shelf.
I had a nice Pacman cab with a 4-in-1 multipack installed, but sold it because I was so bored with the games. This was before I discovered emulators.
I regret selling it. It was good for decoration if nothing else. My basement bar just didn't have the same vibe without it.
It would have made a nice dedicated 4-way vertical MAME cab.

Dedicated Mortal Kombat II (first dedicated cab I ever bought, had it about 15 years now)
Dedicated MsPacman running a SixPac kit

I have a friend who whenever she sends me a text from her iPhone and means to type "now", I get a "meow". I don't think she's being a minx, but you never know.
-
My God, Vanessa's got a fabulous body and I bet she shags like a minx.
-
i sold most of my stuff, all i have left at this point is a cocktail pinball, a half broken jukebox, frogger, final lap, a 2p mame cab, and a cherry master.
-
Mortal Kombat dedicated
Rush the rock in a original rush cab
Mame in a golden tee cab 2 player with the trackball too.
Mame in a bartop
Also have a project rush the rock cab. If I can get it running I would like to link two of them. Of not then i plan to put in a pc and run some emulated stuff.

My one cabinet is a SFII CE dynamo, but I leave my Uo Poko board in it most of the time. ;D
MAME Vertical bartop with a 4 way stick
I also took my old frankenpanel, clamped it to a fishtank stand, placed a laptop on the bottom shelf and call it a pedestal. It still needs side art.
Lots of parts left, but no space for another box to house all the arcade goodness. :-\
-
+1 I only made it through 2 mame builds before I had to own a real arcade.
Exact opposite here. Once I got a decent MAME rig going I sold all my boards and got rid of my dedicated cabinets.

Me, I think. At least, I'm credited for it.
Yeah, owning a MAME cab only leads to owning real ones. MAME just isn't good enough. It's a gateway drug.
The funny thing is I still don't have any real ones. :lol

I dunno. I'm kind of the same way. It's more of a space issue for me though.

That is quite funny. :lol

I have now done 6 builds but only keep Beat'em up-X. Most of the games I like are 90's classics 8-way. This hobby is so fun the rest I gave to friends and family.
When I move back to the US I want to get a NEOGEO MVS board and do a slim or wall mount build. In fact I grabbed a 21 inch Samsung sync master 214t when I was in the US last week in preparations of that sweet day to come. When I do move back I probably won't have the room for a large collections but a Ms.Pac man would be at the top of my list.

Forgot about my dance pads. Those own.

Jennifer has a triple digit collection friend, not really about "get over myself" just a lot of typing.

Well, let's see some pics then. It's 2015, no "out of film" excuses.
-
Jenn aint falling for that old gag, ...Last time I showed You, you told me it was all old junk and than deleted your posts from my thread, disappeared for like two years, leaving my thread sounding like I was talking to myself, like some blubbering idiot. But now if you really don't remember that it"s all still there (minus your posts) in "Jennifers hot new pin".... BTW I"ve added a few since then. ;)

actually it was in Jennifers "HOT" new pin....

Yeah, I had fun building the stand for that one.

That moon patrol looks just like it did in the 80's. If it's finally time to upgrade, there is an full NOS x-men vs street fighter conversion kit on e-bay right now. Your welcome.

What would I need that for?
-
What would I need that for?
To play kick ass fighting games! Just drill some holes in that CP and you're all set. ;)
I actually thought of it because the first time I played Street Fighter II, it was a butchered moon patrol. I loved the game, but even then I thought, "wow, they killed a moon patrol." It's nice to see yours as part of this kind of collection.
-
MAME is a gateway drug. Although I built my MAMESTATION I am guessing like 18 years ago? Back in the Sidewinder hack days. Although I didnt get my 1st real game until 2 years ago.
MAME - upright
Blasteroids
Frogger
Guerrilla War
Point Blank
Rampage
Crystal Castles
Super Contra
Space Invaders Deluxe(Cocktail)
Project Games, Currently not working:
Blitz 2000 Gold Edition
Time Pilot
Ms.Pac Man(Converted to a Sly Spy, probably put to a 60and1 For now)
Lock-On
Gorf (Cocktail)
I think I would like to create an upright driver for space issues(although would love a cockpit, maybe 2 linked), using MAME, or another emulator(newer console) as they have such great racing games.

To be fair Moon Patrol is pretty terrible. It's one of those where I like the cab more than the game.

Crusin USA is IN!

Yots, that arcade is fo real.
You got all the nostalgic extras I'd want.
I got me a 6'x6' square of UV carpet, but that's about it so far.
Is it expensive to keep the change machine updated to accept modern bills?
-
Yots, that arcade is fo real.
+1
It's almost like Yots planned to have everyone share their collections, just to drop the mic with his. ;)
Seriously, If we lived on the same block, I'd just move in. Looks like plenty of space to sleep on the floor in your arcade.

SHOW US YOUR COUCH!
-
Thanks, guys. That was totally unplanned. I do want to shoot some nice pix of it one day. Let's just say I have a very patient and understanding wife.
I haven't looked into a coin acceptor that takes modern bills, to be honest. My change machine works, but it's more for show than anything. I have a big ol' jar of tokens. I need to slightly increase the diameter of the coin tubes to accommodate my .984 tokens.

pffft, you didn't specify. You just said "collection". AND its in the "everything else" section, so... :P
-
Hoser, please, you're like the guy on VAPS who had a 6 board multi-JAMMA setup and counted each one as a separate game...
Neph pointed that one out to me. Good times...

I think it got sold, so I'm pretty sure it's not listed that way anymore.
Boardwise, off the top of my head, I have a Double Dribble, Hit The Ice, Yie Ar Kung Fu, Open Ice, Empire City: 1931, Super Pac-Man, Rush 'N Attack....
-
Super Pac is a seriously under-rated game. Imho the cleaner boards and the varied gameplay give it a bit more staying power than the other pac games.

Agreed. I'm going to finish the cocktail version and keep it somewhere.

I moved it to the room with the Trap Shoot Classic wall game. They make a great couple.
good day
-
Not to just repeat my forum signature but...
1. Mr. & Mrs. Pac 30th Anniversary (vertical 4-way MAME)
2. Point Blank (in an old Area 51 cab running off a Playstation)
3. Raiden custom cabinet (Vertical JAMMA) (Raiden I, II, DX, Air Raid)
4. Centipede dedicated (just needed some minor bodywork and a rebuilt trackball)
5. Tetris Cocktail (running off a Super Nintendo)
6. Flash Pinball (well worn- collecting parts to eventually retheme it with Metal Slug sounds and art)
And I have about 4 more projects in the queue, two of which are homebrew arcade games and thus long term projects. The others involve a Nintendo cabinet (and probably another SNES) and "arcade-izing" Pac Man Vs. on the Gamecube/GBA. Will probably eventually build a custom (but basic) wheel/pedal mount for Xbox/PS1/PS2/Gamecube driving games. I got a bit obsessed with grabbing old console wheels when I found them cheap.
Funny how finding room for my first MAME cab seemed impossible and now I have floorspace earmarked for 10...

I resemble that remark. Funny how that works out.
-
Alright, here goes. These are just the cabinets, all of which worked at last check which was, in some cases, several years ago, not stray boards (some of which even work!).
- Dance Dance Revolution
- beatmaniaIIDX
- beatmania3 (legit "The Final")
- DanceManiaX (legit "2nd Mix: Append J-Paradise")
- 2x Guitar Freaks
- 2x drummania (well, one's technically a Percussion Freaks)
- Keyboard Mania (legit "3rd Mix")
- Pump It Up (1st generation GX style, legit Exceed 2, Zero, NX, NX2, NXA, Fiesta, and Fiesta EX available)
- Mortal Kombat 2 (dedicated, though it's got a slightly larger monitor and swappable control panels for other games - currently running NFL Blitz 2000)
- 2x Neo 29 Candy
- On consignment: Daytona USA twin
There might be a theme...
-
Do you play any real instruments?
-
Used to play the saxophone (bari, mostly, also some tenor) and, eventually (kinda) the bass clarinet. Pretty firmly high-school level, but I would say I was at least competent. It's been about a decade since I set it down for the last time, though. I could (and still can, to some degree) read sheet music.
-
Hey aren't they trying to revive guitar hero this fall? I can't wait to buy more plastic instruments I have no hope of storing. :D
-
I've heard rumors of that. I may still have a guitar hero controller somewhere. I wouldn't be able to play anything remotely approaching new, though. Those tend to be console-only, and the newest console I have is a PS2.
I never really liked Guitar Hero. The game mechanics were fine, and it has some nifty things that make it more "realistic" than Guitar Freaks (which is VERY much a "game" and actually plays quite differently than Guitar Hero), but I never liked the forced 3D note scroll that only took up some tiny fraction of the screen. Sound Voltex (a comparatively new arcade game from Konami, Japan/Korea/maybe China only, like most of the BEMANI titles) has a similar note scroll and, while I find it a fun game, I still don't like the note scroll style.
I've got a number of console controllers for all of those games from before I acquired the actual cabinets. Most of them are the standard consumer ones, but I have a full-size (ASC) pop'n music controller. Considering I still don't have a pop'n music cabinet (I should get one, some time since the game is awesome) I guess that was a reasonable acquisition back in the day. Let's just say that the console controllers are way easier to store than the whole arcade games. Those things are HUGE compared to a typical upright.
-
You know, when I played Guitar Hero I used to sit there and wish I had a time machine. Jump back to the early 80s and make a laser disc based cabinet. The hardware back then could have handled overlaying the sprites on the video. The disc players wouldn't be constantly jumping around and seeking video, so they would have lasted. Oh well.
-
Well I was at Walmart the other day and I noticed that they had cleared a bunch of shelf space and I saw guitar hero scribbled on a sign. Pretty sure I read something about it coming out for the holiday season.... Guitar Hero Live?
I resisted until the fad was almost over, got one of the games in the bargain bin and I was doomed from then on.... went back and bought all the old games.
Yeah laserdisc players were used for karaoke for years.... it seems strange that nobody ever though of adding the other instruments.
-
Yep, both Guitar Hero and Rock Band are coming back for current consoles. I as well am loving that all the old games and instruments are dirt cheap and easy to find at Goodwill, etc. (I am always a generation or two behind on consoles).
-
I've moved onto rocksmith. I figure building muscle memory that translates to the real thing feels like less of a waste of time. Unfortuneately, it's been packed away all year with the (stalled) house remodel. I dug it out last week and am debating on hanging the guitar on the side of the cab.
EDIT: 2014 is much more use friendly than the original.
-
Yeah I got that one as well, but I never have time to play it. With guitar hero you can just pick up and play, but with a real guitar you have to re-tune every time and you need to be split out to an amp and if you do that you can't play in the middle of the night or anything. Eh.... Not as much fun in the long run.
-
Bump it up!
http://youtu.be/jny2cZyRA4U (http://youtu.be/jny2cZyRA4U)
I did a quick walk through of my current set-up recently. Only AD and the centi-milli-missile cabaret were purchased working (but both needed all caps, other bits and a scrubbing) rest were dead and dirty ass mofos brought back from the dead.
I inadvertently had some Les Paul & Mary Ford playing in the background when I filmed it and YouTube Picked up on 2 garbled tunes. Wanted me to consent to a bunch of BS ads and block the vid in certain countries. I just picked some royalty free cheesy blues music.
good day.
-
That's pretty classy man. I thought my tetris skills were impressive, but that took some serious "tetris-ing" to get all of those crammed in there and still look nice.

I just have the Multi cade cab now but I used to have a home built 2 screen cocktail cab as well.
