Hey there.
So I was wondering about wiring off my PC power supply. PC is a HP Pavilion s5000. Can I run my coin lights, and marquee leds and 2 fans off my power supply? Not sure what they can handle, or if they can get overloaded. Thanks guys.

Need some details on your system.
How many harddrives? Internal or external graphics card (powered from pcix slot or from power supply)?
Are the coin lights leds and what is the marquee led? What size fans?
I am leaning towards you are fine, but just need to confirm it.

From the looks of it the s5000 comes with a measly 220W Power supply so it might be closer to capacity than you think already ( esp. if using a dedicated graphics card rather than the onboard chipset.)

Using stock hp s5000. Coin lights are the happ style bulbs, marquee led from groovygames, and I'd grab any 2 fans the stock PS could handle along with those accessories. Trying to run it all of the one PC so I don't have to hack a power strip or buy a mini power minder...

Hard to know exactly what a stop s5000 is, but I am going to guess it does not have an external graphics card and it does have a cd/dvd rom drive.
Unplug the dvd drive and if you can replace the happ bulbs with LEDs. Using that you should have plenty of power to feed what you need to. Probably still ok with happ bulbs but want to be safe.

Thanks for the reply. Once the PC is ready to be in the cabinet I was thinking of disabling both cd drives to free up power. And I am using the stock graphics card.

You can use standard white leds behind the rejects.
Power them off your 5 volt output.
Each led needs a 68 ohm resistor in series with one leg.
