Title: Quartet Restore - Control panel Q's
Post by: sand1 on August 24, 2015, 05:09:35 pm
Hi all,
This is my first post here.  I am restoring a Quartet cabinet.  Most of the cab is in good shape, except for the control panel.  So I have a few control panel related questions.   BTW this is my first cabinet restore so, yes I am a bit of a noob.

Does anyone know what the original joysticks looked like on this machine?  I assume they were the standard metal rod with ball type.  Were the balls color coordinated with the character color?  Any suggestions on where or obtain the correct type of joystick and buttons for this cab?

Where can I find a good used control panel or repro overlay for a Quartet?

Thanks for any help you can provide!

Not sure if you are still here or not, but looks like all ball tops were red

According to the flyer they matched the player colors, most likely wico joys.

Hrm, now looking at the US Flyer, they are all red. Must have been a cost cut later on.
