Title: Ami/Rowe R-91
Post by: Alan45 on August 21, 2015, 06:37:26 am
Hi, This is the first time that I have ever been in any forum.
I have an Ami/Rowe R-91, of which I have had for about 20 years.
I have had very little bother with it, other than bulbs, tubes and the odd adjustment to the gripper arm.
About two months ago when I switched it on it showed ERROR 4 and I could not play anything,
After looking at some of the posts online, I checked the battery in the CCC and found that it had very little life in it. (I was surprised to see that the battery contacts were spot welded to the battery,) Anyway I put in a new Varta 2430.
On looking at the manual I have now realised that what came with the jukebox is for an R-87, although there are a lot of similarities with the machines, The CCC is different.
I have a 4-07773-05 CCC.
I need to know how to programme it again, to get it to free play, before selections remaining were always at 255 now it shows 0.
As I do not have any electronics on the coin box side, I can’t put a coin in to see if it will now play.
So if anyone can help in the programming, It would be gratefully appreciated.
If not I will have to take these 2000+ 45s to a charity shop.
I hope this makes sense.
Thanks

Hello Alan45,

Welcome to the forum.

If you can get into progamming you need to go into location 27, set the number from 0 to 255 and press popular to enter this setting, it should be no on free play after you have switched off the service switch and back on again.

If you get any problems you can contact me in the UK.

Regards
Alan

I tried what you recommended, but could not get into programming.
I then contacted you, and you talked me through the required steps.

So now it is up and running once again.
I would just like to thank you for your time and great patience.
Thank you.
