I use lexan for all my plexi needs. Home Depot carries up to 24x36 for pretty cheap if that helps any

I've used Optix or Lexan from Home depot.

You might also want to check with your local glass shop.
My local glass shop rocks.

Home Depot is great when your needed width is less than 24 inches.  Otherwise be prepared to drop 80 bucks for Lexan.

It really depends if you want it tinted or not.  Tapp plastics provides that option.  Home Depot's are clear. Either way Tapp plastics is great and they cut everything to size for you.

I just checked out their sight for the first time.. Prices are very reasonable.. especially considering the custom cut and no waste. I shall keep this in mind. I can cut lexan no problem minuts a rough edge sometimes. But this could save me time which as they say sometimes, time is money..
