I have this old Sega Buck Rogers cabinet, that I got gutted many years ago. I converted it to a MAME system nearly 10 years ago.
This weekend I started, converting it over to use a Pandora's Box V3 Jamma board. I went with an 8 way joystick and six buttons for each of the 2 players.
I got the control panel drilled and painted and started wiring up the controls.
I attached pics!

I made more progress last night.
I finished up wiring the controls and also wired up one of the coin switches as it doesn't look like the Pandora's Box V3 has a free play mode.
I fired it up and tested it out and everything is working!
I still need to cut some wood for the front of the control panel, paint it and install it.
I will do a review of the Pandora's Box after I get a little time with it.

Does the Pandora box have support for 6 buttons? What jamma pins are used for the extra buttons?

The Pandora's Box V3 has support for 6 buttons for each player. I don't have the manual with me, but if I remember right the 5 and 6 buttons wires were the next two after the 1,2,3,4 buttons.
This was a gutted cab, so I did not have any existing wiring except the power supply and the monitor. I bought the Jamma harness along with the Pandora's Box, and it was already wired up to be compatible with the board.

I made some more progress last night. I now have the front of the control panel installed.
Now that it is working I have to do something with some artwork to make it look better. Not sure if I will create something and have it printed, or if I will go with single colors and use my vinyl cutting machine.
I suck at fighting games, but damn those Metal Slug games sure are fun!

what's up with that thing by the coin door?
IPHONE holder?

Found the information.
Seems to be some unused pins and some pins that normally are connected to ground.
Please do a review later when you have some more experience of the hardware and software.
By the way, going with the vinyl cutting machine artwork would mimic the original stencil type of artwork on most arcade cabinets :)

It used to hold the mouse when it was a MAME machine.
