Title: Using MameUI's....UI with GM??
Post by: lettuce on August 17, 2015, 08:32:56 am
I know this is an odd question, but is there a way to use the UI of MameUI with groovemame at all?. I know you can use Frontends with GM but what about using the vanilla UI that mameui uses?

There are a lot of places where the GM patch modifies the code base so I bet it won't work without a lot of work and modifications to both patches. Besides you won't have UI support for GM specific options unless you specifically code it.

Thanks for the reply. I was more for my brother (i have no issue with command line GM ), is there a frontend about that looks and acts more or less like the standard UI found in MameUI at all then?

I have tried MameUIFX, but i notice slight audio skipping and a constant sync tear on screen when using 'Prescale 3' option. (rolling thuder being a game i can think off the top of my head) not sure if its the program at issue or the PC his using (but GM has no such issues)
