Title: Sega Saturn not working, help
Post by: Locke141 on August 12, 2015, 04:50:53 pm
I'm back in the U.S. And was excited to get my SD card cd driver replacement (Rhea) working in my Saturn. But my statues was not working when I tested it before the install. It powered on, the CD spined, but not sound or video signal. The black screen did jump when I powered it on and off.

The red light blinked on and off. I read that this is do to a bad CD drive so I when a head and installed the Rhea. The read light no longer blinks but still no signal.

Any one have any ideas?

Is the Saturn a 240V unit?  2x110V will probably do it or a step up transformer.

It's a 110v model, back in the U.S. Till September. I sined up for a Saturn forum and they have some advise. The advise was to push the laser up the track then start it to see if it will read. I'm out of town so won't get to it till next week.

Ah sounds like the PS1 laser issue.  Good luck.
