So much DIY here.  Any examples of office desks?  Cubicle furniture?

Not going to be built until winter, but I'm planning on throwing a 12ft long laminate counter across a few file cabinets and custom built shelves.
The desk will run the entire length of my small home office and be tight against the wall on both ends.
Here's the file cabinets I'm using: http://www.officedepot.com/a/products/229860/Realspace-Soho-3-Drawer-Organizer-File/ (http://www.officedepot.com/a/products/229860/Realspace-Soho-3-Drawer-Organizer-File/)
12ft sections aren't stocked at the big box stores, so I may end up making something out of particleboard and laminating it myself.

I know the menards by me has a few 12 footers in stock, the stuff with the built in backsplash. I'm believe you can special order laminate countertop as well from most of the big box stores.

I posted about the desk I made a while back.

Just did the desktop, the base was from a motorized lifting desk I got at a used office supply place.

Still using it.

I'm doing quite the opposite.  I am going for minimal.  I like the quad screen setup I have currently, but as I don't use the 4th monitor much, I will go back to a triple (with room for the 4th) (http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00I3IMWNY/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=3JWH8QV8L6SR9&coliid=I6DDZ6K91QBWZ) setup. Also I am going back to my old corner desk which looks like this. (http://www.amazon.com/dp/B002MA22SY/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pd_nS_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=3JWH8QV8L6SR9&coliid=IVOW6EG9AVI0R)

Minimal is where it should be, as now I have a huge desk and loads of clutter.  I like the shelves underneath for all the consoles, and that 4th display is starting to become very 4K/UHD specific.  What's to stop me adding a Kade underneath and adding a joy and a set of buttons directly on the table?  With my new ITX A10 build coming along, I shall be void of cables.  A very rosy future indeed.  ;D

pretty cool.  I've been searching high and low for a desk that works for both my and my fiance, but it's tough.  I've considered building one, but I just don't think I have the time right now but yours came out great.

my desk at work used to be a door sitting on top of a cocktail cabinet.

then we needed the cabinet.

I think the boss thought i wasn't going to be here as long as i have been.

One thing you might keep an eye out for is an old style "student desk"

They're bigger desks, typically 3x5 feet with drawers on 2 sides, made to be used by 2 people at the same time.

Another possibility is take 2 file cabinets from a used office supply place (or garage sales), face one set of drawers to one side, the other to the opposite side and throw a simple desktop/glass slab/flat door/ sheet of 3/4 mdf on top.

I did that at one point and it wasn't the prettiest thing, but it worked fine.
