Title: Can Mame ONLY use USB Trackball and leave wireless mouse for windows use?

Hello,
          Recently built a Pedestal for playing Golden Tee Fore Complete..  As this game takes a lot of juice to play I have hooked up a TV to my main computer as a 2nd Display..  Was able to get mame to run on just that display no problem using \\.\DISPLAY2 in the mame.ini file.  I have the Ultimarc Utrak setup in usb mode and I also have a wireless keyboard and mouse setup.  My goal is to be able to run Golden Tee Fore on the 2nd screen using the trackball and still be able to use my mouse with my PC for surfing the web or whatever while others play.  While I have been messing with this for awhile I dont seem to have come across the correct settings in the mame.ini to pull this off and am asking for help..

I dont believe you can have Windows focus on 2 programs at the same time the way you want. Sounds like your solution is either to not browse while other people MAME, or get a second PC. TKWarrior is selling a pretty great desktop for like $100 in the BST section.

I was thinking the same thing as malenko.
Even if both work at the same time, I would think there would be some stutter in the game play.

Not sure if I missed it but we don't even know what you've got for a pc in the first place.

Yea I don't see how windows can focus on both with zero lag or jitter and interruptions. Sounds like you might be multi tasking that machine a little too much.. I would say settle on playing a game of golden tee with friends, or web surf.

^This -- you can live without the web for an hour or so without it killing you - log off and enjoy a game or two with them rather than sitting in the corner surfing the web - you might just find you can live without being tethered to the web !!

Thanks for the replies.  I have an i5 2600k overclocked to 4.7Ghz as my main pc, while it may not be the latest and greatest setup, it runs well thank you.  Appreciate the input, was really late last night after getting my Golden Tee Pedestal going and I guess I just needed to hear this from others.. :-)

Oh and pornhub.. that's so 2 years ago, when I go there its xnxx.com for me!!

Id like to see your pedestal, did u post it anywhere? And indeed, enjoy the game with your friends, safe the surfing for later
