Hello every one, hoping some one may be able to help with a Drift arcade machine i have been getting up and running.I have installed a new dell computer and purchased a dongle and graphics card from ebay. The only problem i am having is that the crt monitor in the cab is displaying 2 identical images with a line down the middle of the screen. Frequency issue? Driver issue? anyhelp greatly appreciated!

pictures help but it almost sounds like you're pushing a medium res/VGA image to a standard res monitor. FnF games are PC based, what happens if you plug a regular computer monitor into it?

Hi, Thanks for your reply. When a standard l.c.d monitor is hooked up (as i used for the install) it works fine. The monitor in the machine is a Nanoa MS9-29NA87. I have tried connecting the frequency connector to both of its settings on the MS9, one setting provided what apeared to me to be an out of frequency picture, the other shows a dual display of the picture. This machine had no computer in it but the cover from a dell, after reasearching i found i should be using a dell 740 pc in it so i purchased one. I then also purchased a Security dongle as that was missing(very expensive!). I have also downloaded from raw thrills the software version 3.06. I have seen posts about split screen but only in regards to Avga on a pc set up...there are various settings as far as display type gos for the drift board, vga,ega,ega2,cga...etc.

The Nanao MS9-29NA87 is a dual res monitor, Im not familiar enough with them but I think there is a jumper or something to switch it from 15 to 24 mode. I am very certain that is the issue and the fix.

What you are describing is exactly what happens when you feed a VGA signal to a 15K monitor.
are you running CRT EMU Driver? or Soft15K, if the answer is NO, then you need to get that setup if you want to use that monitor.
MS9-29 doesn't support VGA, it only supports up to Medium Res (512x384) @ 25K horizontal refresh (vga is 31K)

those units actually run with soft-15kHz - there is an option somewhere to change from 31kHz to 15kHz (upgrade kit mode)
try setting to CGA

Thanks Guys, Ill try change to cga and see what happens..It has the original monitor in it so im guessing it must just be an incorect setting..
