So my CRT Sony BVM can pretty much do everything but 25khz modes like 384p....
So I tried the effrect scanlines.png in the mame.ini
That's great, except EVERYTHING is affected.
Is there a way to just tell groovymame when doubling resolutions to match, to skip scanlines or how would I do this on a game per game basis?
I coudn't figure out how to put effect scanlines.png into csprint.cfg for example and putting it in csprint.ini doesn't work either.
I'm probably just ignorant but any instruction would be helpful.

There's not a direct way of doing it that I can think of.
Anyway, putting that config in a game's .ini must work, that's sure, unless you're doing something wrong.
There aren't so many "EGA" systems anyway, so I'd consider using inis for the drivers that own those games, so you can potentially configure a lot of games with just a few inis.

Well to answer my own question, I created an ini directory, and just created a "game.ini" with effect scanlines.jpg in it just for those games that are doubled.
On a trinitron, this looks fairly decent. On a shadowmask CRT, I'm going to assume it does not look so good.
