Title: How to setup correct MAME game resolutions?
Post by: MushiMaster on July 25, 2015, 08:30:48 pm
Hi

Can anybody tell me how to set native resolutions in MAMEUI? I hear groovymame is the best for this but, i don't like having to set up front ends because they are confusing to me, where as MAMEUI is easy for me to use but im not sure how i set the correct resolution for each game. I will be using an ATI card with CRT_emudriver.

MAMEUI should do this automatically if in general options is marked "switch resolution to fit'. If not (auto detection is not good as in groovymame) then right click on game, properties, screen. First set display then change resolution, finally frequency.

Thanks i have found the option now in mame ui to choose the resolution. Some of the resolutions are not supported by my GPU. If i set it to auto is there a way to see what resolution mame has chosen and what resolution is actually running while i play?
