I'm looking for a vender that sells custom buttons that say things like, "PAUSE" "ESC" "TAB""RESET", etc, etc. Preferably the LED type so they will light up. Doesn't matter if they are round, or rectangle, or square or even triangle. Just as long as they have the wording on them. I'm thinking of going with a PacLED64 for the project I am currently working on and don't wanna have to resort to having to label the buttons or something. That looks cheesy.. Any help would be appreciated.

I sell decal sets you can apply to your existing buttons at the link below.

Yeah use a decal set as mentioned. They work great.

Nice, that should work just fine. I'll take this topic to PM then. I'm thinking I'll want a couple sets. Gonna consult with my son first (he has Autism). The cabinet is actually going to be his. He's been working with me on the weekends earning money for himself for over a year. Hasn't spent hardly a dime of it. He's been saving up to buy all the parts for his very own cocktail arcade machine and having me put it all together for him. I haven't built an arcade machine in years (over 12), so I'm coming out of (retirement ;) ) to do one for him and I don't want it to be as sloppy as the first couple of projects I did so I'm being pretty meticulous about how it looks and performs inside and out, and letting him make the decisions about buttons, controls, LED effects, bezel, etc, etc..

For LED buttons, you can also print your own inserts on Avery 8665 or 18665 Clear Full Sheet Labels.

FYI- I have ordered from this vendor before(Slammedniss)....the decals he makes are very good quality and install extremely easily.
I highly recommend him.

What's the wear and tear like through many button pushes over time?
Does the vender do custom playstation themed sets?

I adheared the vinyl from slammedness to the plunger of my ps14kn's. Its protected by the semi transparent button. Should last until the vinyl fades. :)

Mine are still fine. Had them since 2008.

I'll throw my templates for seimitsu buttons into the mix (reply #17): http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/topic,128941.msg1328053.html#msg1328053 (http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/topic,128941.msg1328053.html#msg1328053)

On my own cab, I have the inserts painted silver with white vinyl letters from one of the BYOAC vendors.
The start buttons are the pitbull buttons from the template above.
I really like the color, detail and shading you can get with the avery labels (see xbox button above).

I have the vinyl button labels on my electric ice buttons and they've been holding up fine for 5 years.
I only have them on my player starts, pause and exit though.

I do as well. He was really responsive to a couple of changes I wanted and shipped them over quick too. I'll use him again next time I need more - currently using Ultralux buttons.
I tried the Avery labels approach before this, but the edges never seemed to cut out correctly. Gave up.

sweet idea with the clear plungers! on my last build i used led lights and i was able to print stuff "enter, exit, coin etc" on clear vellum paper and just cut the circles out and shoved them into the top. Worked great! If i dont go led route i will for sure pick up those clear guys!

i got the decals from slammedniss and i can also recommend them. i do recommend putting them under the transparent cap of a seimitsu or a sanwa though. feels better to me than just sticking on a regular button. and will obviously last longer as you aren't in direct contact with the decal.
