Title: Mortal Kombat II control panel hinge
Post by: rodneykristy on July 14, 2015, 02:59:51 pm
I'm looking for the hinge that goes on a MK2 control panel. If anyone knows where I can get one please let me know. I've been looking at some angled hinges but I need very specific measurements. If anyone who has a MK machine or just knows can you give me the exact measures of this hinge. The length, width of the angled portion and non angled portion and any other info about this hinge I can get. Thanks

You don't really need measurements for that. You know that the cabinet is made of 3/4 inch material and have a picture in front of you. It's a 1 1/2" x 2 1/8" piano hinge with a right angle bend on the 1 1/2" side. Piano hinges are can be cut to the correct length.

I have a hinge like that on my Konami cab and was wondering if that would have been original or added later on? Mine happens to be on the outside though, which makes it a little less visually appealing :(

I did a search on these and just a note, they are called "partial piano hinge"... The continuous piano hinge seems to just be like a regular hinge
