Hello,
I apologize if this has been discussed already...
is there a resource available that list the dimensions of original cabinets for someone who wants to build from scratch but match the original design?
-
Which cabinets exactly?
There's this sticky thread re Nintendo - http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/topic,144583.0.html (http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/topic,144583.0.html)

Don't forget Jack-O Bud

Thanks for the link!
Specifically I would like to scratch build a Legendary wings cabinet.
-
I'm starting to think that possibly there was no original cabinet and that it was only sold as an upgrade kit... is there anyway to confirm this?

A quick check of the usual arcade manual sites only shows the conversion kit manual.
VAPS (http://www.arcade-museum.com/members/game_census.php?klov_id=8411) lists 13 users who have either the board or conversion kit -- only 2 of 15 entries are labeled "original/dedicated" cabs and one of those says in the comments that it isn't in the original cab.
Related thread here (http://forums.arcade-museum.com/showthread.php?t=31385) on KLOV.
The evidence seems to point toward either:
1.) Conversion kit only or
2.) Generic cab (Dynamo, etc.) rather than a unique style/shape.

A member on KLOV has started a new site that looks promising.

I've always thought that a separate sub-forum here would be useful. Just threads full of people posting pictures of the cabs they own and different measurements.

How about just adding more entries/inks on this (http://newwiki.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?title=Cabinet_Plans) wiki page? ;D

Great information guys!
So it looks like I am going to want to build a Dynamo replica cabinet?!...
I'm not sure how to determine which model of Dynamo is best for my application.
I've looked at the resources that were provided, but does anyone have any experience or real perspective on why one should be chosen over another?
TIA
