Pretty sure I was able to patch my HD4850 with Atom-15, but I am still getting the out of sync frequency upon Windows 7 boot up. Boot Screen. It was my understanding that the modified BIOs should have taken care of this issue? I am funning on a Betson Multisync which is a Tri-Sync monitor. I have tried selecting all three 15, 25 and 31 kHz and only 15 and 31 respectively. The issue remains. I must be missing something here? For what its worth I did use the Window's flash utility. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

It should be possible to check what frequency is being output. Has your monitor an OSD?
-
Thanks Calamity, it's reading 48.3khz. Starts out at 31.5 during bios. The loading windows screens cannot be seen. It states out of range and running at 48.3

Looks like the patched bios is not in use, for whatever reason. If you want to be sure, use only the 15 kHz range in ATOM-15, then the boot sequence, bios screens, etc. must be at 15 kHz.

I tried using only 15khz as well. Still same outcome. I must be doing something incorrectly. I created a copy of the original bios using the ATI win_flash tool from a cmd promt with admin privileges. Then loaded it from Atom-15 selecting the frequencis I wanted and then hit the patch button. Any other thoughts as to why it's not taking?

You flashed the modded bios back to the card didn't you?
-
Yes, when I patch I am choosing the modded bios. Is this not correct? Thanks

Step 4 is what I mean:
- ATI Winflash: for Windows. Download here.
1) cd C:\atiwinflash
2) atiflash -s 0 bios.rom
3) Use atom-15.exe to patch the BIOS.
4) atiflash -p 0 bios-mod.rom
5) Reboot
* Caution: "-p 0" and "-s 0" point to the first PCI device. Check this in case you have more than one video card installed.

Rats. Somehow I didn't see that step. I feel like an idiot. At this point I have 3 different model bioses created. Should I delete them and start over?

Calamity, thanks for taking the time to bail me out. Go figure, I followed all the instructions at it worked like a charm! Amazing work! Many thanks!
