Title: PC speaker volume control
Post by: Scoobie on July 03, 2015, 07:34:42 pm
Hi guys,
I've been out of the loop for a long time and am once again planning another gaming project.  Approximately 10 years ago, I purchased one of these devices called a VC01A - pc speaker stereo volume control from a company called 3Tronics based in Canada.  I would like to buy another one for my new project, but I can't seem to locate anything like and 3Tronics doesn't seem to be the same company (per their site)

Would anyone be able to point me in the right direction to locate something similar?

If not, what are are you guys using to control the volume in your arcade cabinets?

Thanks in advance!

I like to use, "Set it and forget it".

I do put a pot inline with the speakers (make sure it's a log pot and not a linear), but for the most part, once it's set, you don't need to change it.

Sorry, I don't understand what you mean.  I'm looking for a way to easily adjust the volume in an arcade cabinet, something I can mount under a control panel and plug in to my PC speaker output.

Does anyone know of a product like this and what are you all using to adjust volume in your arcade cabinets?

What you posted looks like what slippyblade described using a pot, you could always try Audacity.
