A MASSIVE thank you to Calamity for GroovyMAME, and all related apps!
I've tried to contribute to the MAME community in my own way, but it pales in comparison to your efforts. Being able to play all my arcade favourites on my cab just like playing the real thing gives me SO much enjoyment. ;D
Money is tight at the mo but I will be making a donation when able - promise. :)
Keep up the good work, mate, and sorry for my mostly stupid questions on the forum. :P I'm sure there are many others like me that REALLY appreciate your efforts! :applaud:

A while back Calamity quietly mentioned that his Hantarex chassis had died and required repair. He's such a modest guy that he didn't make much noise about it at the time. However, I reckon that's a definitely charity worth supporting! I don't know if he ever got it fixed but it seems crazy to have Calamity without a working monitor while the rest of us enjoy the fruits of his labor!!! :o
And, from me, thanks for all your hard work! Last week I finally flashed an XFX HD 4350 with the Atom BIOS and it worked perfectly! So cool... :)

The thing is I took my Hantarex to the repair service but got it back unrepaired. It looks like it's not an easy repair, and quite a few users who bought units from this batch are in the same situation (our thread in the Spanish forum is hardcore group therapy). So the Polostar is sitting there in a box until we find a solution. I have two working MTC 9110 monitors but these are inside my cabinets.
Fortunately I recently bought an UMSA and resurrected a 14" Sony I rescued from parents home. It's definitely more discreet to keep one of these in my study. A 25" naked CRT on my desktop required some explanations to customers more often than not. It's a pity I don't have more space but I'm planning to get SCART TVs from now on. Multisync arcade monitors are convenient but I don't like how they look at 15 kHz.

I agree 100%. Not only are GroovyMAME/UME and CRT Emudriver great but Calamity's support for them is remarkable given it's something he does as a hobby.

15khz scanlines on a multisync are usually very thick. Many people don't like such thick scanlines.

Yeah, software scanlines with super resolutions look ok though.
