Title: M2lagfix Setup
Post by: Gamer4life on June 26, 2015, 12:21:46 am
I am almost done with my twin build(build thread coming soon) I have everything up and running im just trying to get m2lagfix setup to get rid of the flashing cars. I used the setting from this post:

http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/topic,133283.80.html (http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/topic,133283.80.html)

I cant get the two to link up. Has anyone else have this up and running on just a 2P setup? Any help would be great.

I'd be interested in this as well. I have read thru the whole thread and couldn't figure it out.

5a. YOU NEED A 8 PLAYER NETWORK! IT DOES NOT WORK WITH LESS UNITS YET :)

I think you'll have to stick with the standard network version for the time being. Have you tired enabling Framsync in your network .ini to see if that helps?

The reason I asked was because she stated that it would work with any setup.

Hi dozer, the lagfix works in any setup.

Not really applicable as the lag is in game only, not on attract screen. Can you post a video showing the cars not flashing when in multiplayer.

Thanks

m2lagfix does work with any amout of units. the 8 player requirement was/is for the live spectator feature.

please note: flickering cars most likely happen with framesync=0 (or not defined at all) in m2network.ini
you could try framesync=1 first, but you will most likely get network hiccups (all games freezing for like 1-3 seconds) every now and then.

try these...

m2network.ini #1
Code: [Select]
[Network]
RxPort=9101
NextIP=127.0.0.1
NextPort=9102
FrameSync=1

m2lagfix.ini #1
Code: [Select]
[m2rx]
LocalHost=<network ip #1>
LocalPort=7001
RemoteHost=127.0.0.1
RemotePort=9101

[m2tx]
LocalHost=127.0.0.1
LocalPort=9102
RemoteHost=<network ip #2>
RemotePort=7002

m2network.ini #2
Code: [Select]
[Network]
RxPort=9201
NextIP=127.0.0.1
NextPort=9202
FrameSync=1

m2lagfix.ini #2
Code: [Select]
[m2rx]
LocalHost=<network ip #2>
LocalPort=7001
RemoteHost=127.0.0.1
RemotePort=9201

[m2tx]
LocalHost=127.0.0.1
LocalPort=9202
RemoteHost=<network ip #1>
RemotePort=7002

None of my pcs freeze up while using framesync=1 while racing network

All of my pcs are pretty fast with i5 cpu's in all of them

Oh my God!! Therefore edit inis take away the desire to try a. pdf to the local and the network is needed. This is a mess, why give up trying (although you see the dialog box m2lagfix became green) I not found the difference rival cars were following crazy  :dunno
