Title: Help! Restoring Track and Field
Post by: Louis on June 17, 2002, 05:51:55 am
Hi,

I am restoring a track and field and need some info.

1.  Is anyone reproducing the sideart, marque, or control panel overlay for this game?
2.  Does anybody have one of these or know of somewhere
on the web are some good photos?
3.  Were the instructions on how to play posted somewhere
on the upright cabinet?  Maybe on the bezel?
4.  Does anyone know where one of these games is in the Washington DC/metro area that I can take a look at?

Thanks,

Louis

I would recomend posting this same question to RGVAC
I do know there are repro control panel overlays available. Also that the instructions are printed on the CPO and there was no Bezel.
Here's a pic of a repro I found at   The Basement Arcade.  (http://www.basementarcade.com) Note there is also a picture of a T&F Mark is going to restore. Please do not ask Mark to sell the CPO as he states on his page none of the CPOs are for sale. You may want to inquire from him as to where he got the repro. He is a great guy and probably knows where to get the side art too. Also he has many links on his pages to vendors and collectors.

Good Luck it's an awsome game one of my all time favorites

are you planning on using the original board or mame?

If you are using mame... make sure not to use a keyboard hack.  Mine just sucked for this game.

when I got my mk64 encoder... a few weeks later I was about to go to bed and realized that I hadn't played trackandfield yet with the new encoder that I got up and played it to about 2 in the morning!

made a HUGE difference!
