I'm looking to update my snapshots, artwork, marquees, etc. for MAME. Everywhere I look I can only find incremental zip archives. I want to download it all in one swell foop. Can anyone steer me in the right direction?
Most paths seem to lead here:

My apologies if this is already right under my nose...

Unfortunately, I think you will be stuck with the incremental zips, which is a minor pain.
Here is another place to get screenshots. They have no white border.

Mameworld also has links to places where you can download art.

would you like some cheese to go with that wine?
Geese man it's only 16 zip files per artwork. Not like it's 4000 roms or anything like that.

OK OK. I see your point and you're right. I didn't think about that while I was looking around. I'm just geting weary of sites that link to other sites that make you login to download (mameworld.net -> classicgaming.com -> gamespot -> ...) just to get one small fraction of what I need. I thought for sure that someone similar to Stuzza had a single zip that was URL addressable (the cheese to go with my wine!). ;D
TalkingOctopus, thanks for the reference to retrogames. I can use FlashGet to grab it all at once.
For those of you who haven't used FlashGet, you should check it out. It lets you batch download from web sites so sites that list 100 zip files using clickable links can be downloaded in one shot -- you don't have to do 100 iterations of click-save-ok. And it can start five separate parallel downloads each of one fifth of the file so that it takes presumably five times less time to complete. It can start broken downloads, can download from multiple alternate sources, and it's avaialbe in a free version. Pretty cool stuff (albeit a little intrusive on the OS).

I once used it to download Genny and SNES ROMs on http://www.freeroms.com/ (http://www.freeroms.com/) which lists their ROMs on like 50 separate alphabetical web pages and downloads wicked slow. It took minimal effort and the queuing and downloading all happened 24x7 without my presence. Now that's the cheese! ;)

Brie would be great if you have it.
Seriously, if you you are really lazy or on dial up you could always bid on this. At least they aren't peddling roms this time.

He may not be peddling ROM's, but how many of those did he scan in himself? I think he is still trying to profit off of somebody elses work.

pmc please don't discuss roms, where you can get roms, or rom sites in this forum.
thank you

You can find screens, cpanels, and more all in one download using Bit Torrent.

Sorry man. I was talking about FlashGet and that example just came to mind. Didn't mean to cross a line. Thanks for the reminder.
