Title: Anyone had any luck Mapping N64 on standard 6 button/Joystick Control Panel?
Post by: lisowskikevin on June 03, 2015, 08:48:11 pm
Hey guys,

Anyone had any luck mapping controls to a standard 6 button/joystick arcade control panel? I realize that most games are unplayable due to the lack of controls but can you play some of the games?

Depends on the game.  I've played Clayfighter: Sculptor's Cut on my arcade sticks with Project 64. Or are you trying to use the actual system?

In my opinion, using the miniConsole+ in conjunction with actual n64 controllers and the arcade expansion board seems like your best bet.  You have the option of playing whatever games you can actually play using your arcade joysticks, and for any games that need more buttons than your CP has you can just plug in an n64 controller and use that instead.  In theory you wouldn't even need to change anything since both the arcade joysticks and n64 controllers function as the exact same inputs.
