Ok, so you can consider me mildly safe when it comes to work. Better than most, terrifying to some. My very first cabinet ever was a rehab on an old crappy cabinet. I had a nice big old school tv so i ripped it out of its case, and mounted it inside the arcade. Im sure i paid no mind to handling the tv. While im sure i wasnt gripping all over the nice big electric goodness, i surely didnt take any precautions as far as discharging anything. Anyways, the arcade has been unplugged for months now. I want to rip the tv out. Is there any current risk of blowing my face off, as it really needs a good manhandling to be removed. Also, i dont want the garbage man blowing his face off either lol. What can i do to discharge anything, or is there even a risk if its been unplugged for a long time

Get your final affairs in order. Many have died, even when all the proper precautions are taken.

Shouldnt need to discharge it if you arent removing the chassis or anode cap from the monitor.

As already said, you shouldn't need to discharge unless you're removing the 2nd anode (suction cup looking thing) but if you're tossing out for garbage pickup, it may be best.

did the manliest thing i could.. just ripped it out like the hulk. Of course i was careful with what i touched. Anyways, its done with. Thank you all for your concerns :)
