Does anyone have any experience with painting bezels onto glass screens ? I think it's possibly the type of spraypaint I have but when I've masked an area off and sprayed another, I remove the tape only to take the paint underneath with it -it becomes like stretchy thin latex or something when it dries and has no adhesion to the surface whatsoever.
I had a plastic screen which was ok but getting scuffed/scratched a bit so I decided to go glass (which, oddly, cost 1/4 the price of the plastic screen for 5ml glass...).
Oh, and before anyone wonders I'm talking about the protective screen in front of the monitor, when I say "screen" I'm not meaning the monitor itself I just don't know the technical term for what I'm talking about (an issue that I face with monotonous regularity, lol)
So, does anyone have any recommendations for methods they've used and/or types of paint that work on glass ? I really want a spray finish as I detest brush strokes (anally retentive to the max)
Any help much appreciated as usual.

It's called the bezel glass and a good tip is to run a razor's edge along the outside of your tape line after painting to ensure a good release. Also, there are some sprays out there that adhere to glass much better than others. I've had good luck with Krylon products myself. Multiple light coats will adhere better than one heavy coat and finally, ensure that you have cleaned the glass with some form of astringent that leaves no residue to interrupt the bond between the glass and the paint.

Yeah, thanks ! I think I got it, I have loads of different sprays from different mfrs around here and I just don't think the black was up to it. Went with a red "bezel glass" and that's worked out much better, the paint seems to have adhered fine to it. Going to leave it a good amount of time to dry then will attempt to mount it again and see how it goes. Will post updates as and when it succeeds/fails ;-) Almost there now, though, just need a small custom marquee (which I've designed but am looking for a printer in the EU for at the moment...)
