I did some searching and saw that it is talked about alot but has anyone actually made a "You Dont Know Jack" control panel?
THe only thing I could see being a problem is that a keyboard is needed. I could grab a mini keyboard and mount it on the panel.
I am tired of using the keyboard to buzz in, I want some "Press Your Luck" style buzzers!
Have a good day!

I plan on eventually adding those type of buzzers to my Machine...
I guess you could just get a USB wireless Keyboard too...
That way, there's no interference with an Encoder & you can easily pass it around.
I'm not sure how I'll have the 1-4 buttons & "S" (for screw) though...
Maybe something that sits on the CP & straddles the trackball in the middle... hmmm...
It'd be nice to have something like is shown on the link above.

Large image alert!
What do you think? The keyboard is at the top and is cut down to the left side of the keyboard minus the function keys. I put player 3 in the middle since I rarely have three players.
Your thoughts?

That's great!
Here's the buttons you want...
They're not cheap though... ($26 a piece!!!)

I'm sure you could find a local vender with a few sitting around... (maybe) or ebay...

I'd add better and more artwork if I could find some on the net. THose are the buttons I was talking about.
Now I know that the IPAC has a led that can light up when a button is pressed. Can that be used to trigger a buzzer sound???

I've been thinking this would be great to play on the tv in the living room with people sitting down. I've been looking for a button like they use on some of the game shows. Basically you hold it in your hand and there is a small button on the end. I actually have one that I found in a box of old junk at work.
I can't find a source for that type of hand held control and didn't want to fabricate my own. I've been thinking that a wired camera remote would probably work but I haven't found one yet.

THeres people that made one out of a pvc pipe with a button on top. I would dig through my stuff and find my old atari controller that you held in your hand with the button on top.
I am building my control panel before I start my cab so I will let everyone know how it goes.

Yeah I've seen that before. The button is easy, you can get small enough ones at radio shack. Its the hand held part that is hard to pull off.
The ones I saw with pvc were just small peices of pvc capped on both ends. Then run the wire through it and put the switch on the end. That wouldn't be to bad. I'll take a pic of the one that I have and you'll see exactly what I'm talking about.
Another idea I had was to use a slide projector remote but they have more than one button on them.
EDIT: Here is what I would like- http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2973994312&category=30055
Now I just need to find it for cheaper than $100... :(

What about taking a cheap flight stick and wiring those buttons?
