Title: MameUIFX. Audio skipping and screen tearing??
Post by: lettuce on May 23, 2015, 11:00:18 am
I was under the impression that MAMEUIFX was designed purely for LCD displays to remove screen tearing etc??. I have the latest 161.1 build and on Shinobi for example i either get screen tearing or is i enable triple buffer i remove the screen tearing but then this is replaced with sound skipping.

What are the correct setting that need to be enabled to get no tearing and skip free audio??

mameuifx has its own forum where the mameuifx author (mamesick) checks regulary/daily, so I would perhaps try that forum if you don't have much success with answers here.

ps. you should certainly be able to run all mame games smoothly on a 'fixed' 60hz monitor afaik

For NVIDIA cards, you have to turn on Vsync in the Nvidia control panel software.  Only using the .ini settings in MAMEUIFX doesn't work.

I found that Marvel vs Capcom's attract screens were a good place to make sure it worked.  All those flashing screens and all...
