Title: Joust cocktail table
Post by: axefreak on December 29, 2003, 03:27:23 pm
Hello all,

I found a jout cocktail table for 800.00.  Is this a fair price or how much do you think It should be?  I love the style of this table!  The table is in good condition.

Any opinions would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Axefreak

It's a classic.  It's difficult to find (especially in good shape).  I think it is easily worth that much.

Just as a point of reference, the upright Joust game goes for mid $300 up to $600 (maybe more) at the auctions.  I would expect the cocktail table version's rarity to easily add a couple hundred $$ to the value.

They go for a mint on ebay...  I have seen them go for over 1000.

a VERY special and nice layout... very destinct...

I think its a good deal.  If its in perfect shape... a great deal.

Thanks for the replies.  I know 800 isn't pocket change for me, but from what I have seen of these is might be the cheapest I can get one.

Thanks again.

If you don't have firsthand experience with one, then let me tell you a bried tidbit of information.

My buddy ended up with both an upright and a cocktail after various deals and warehouse raids. He ended up getting rid of the cocktail, because the upright was more fun to play.

Just mount a couple drink holders on the upright and have a couple lazy-boys set up on boxes and you'll have a true original coctail joust.
