Post by: ID4 on April 30, 2015, 05:16:04 am
Hi

I have an CRT that workd at 1080i, 480p and 576p.

What can be the crt_range for this CRT?

Thanks!

Hi ID4,

Assuming it's 576p@50 Hz (31kHz), you can just take the arcade_31:

crt_range0  31400-31500, 49.50-65.00, 0.940, 3.770, 1.890, 0.349, 0.064, 1.017, 0, 0, 400, 512, 0, 0

...and do these changes:

crt_range0  31400-31500, 49.50-65.00, 0.940, 3.770, 1.890, 0.349, 0.064, 1.017, 0, 0, 400, 576, 800, 1152

(yes, it will handle 1152i@50Hz too)

Hi Calamity!

Thanks you! Really it supports 50 and 60 Hz modes at 1080i. 480p and 576p are supported too as I said.

This CRT supports 576i and 480i too, but it scales to progressive so quality is lost.

If you want 1080i@ at 60 Hz you'll need to increase HfreqMax a bit in that crt_range.

Yeah that's because it the TV works at 31 kHz natively so it needs to upscale 15 kHz signals.
