Title: Question About Coin Door & Credit Button Wiring
Post by: Santo8742 on May 10, 2015, 09:40:12 am
I was reading that the wiring for a coin door microswitches should be set to the NC position as opposed to normal buttons and joysticks. Is this correct? Also if I'm wiring free credit buttons to the same input as the coin door, should those buttons be set to the NC position as well?

Nope, you wire them to NO (normally open) like every other switch. The same goes for the credit button, which you should wire in parallel.

Thanks. That makes sense. I did notice that the NO position is the pin furthest from the common as opposed to the switches on my buttons which have NO as the pin closest to the common though. So just a tip to any other newbie, make sure you read the switch because aren't always set up the same.
