As I'm struggling to find a supplier (in UK) for a pre-built cabinet, I thought a stop gap solution would be to get a decent arcade stick for my PC.
Does anyone have any recommendations? I tend to play shoot em ups (Cave and SNK) and some fighters. I use Emu Loader to launch the games:

Is this stick as good as any other really?

i checked some of the reviews on amazon, it seems people generally like that stick you linked but, note that some complain that the joystick is not great and also it is quite loud in operation
it seems that a lot of people who buy arcade controllers like you linked above generally seem to end up putting in sanwa parts instead (joystick and buttons)
a lot of it depends on how fussy you are I would say
(sorry if all that is not very helpful!)

Thanks for your input, it was helpful. I'm no pro player, so something basic may suit.
Although I'm getting tempted by this now!

Thanks for the link. I'll check that one out.

Thanks for the link. I'll check that one out.
I would go with it because it uses sanwa parts (joystick and buttons), which are considered the best and used on actual japan arcade cabs etc
also, it would have good resale value if you decide to sell it in the future etc
ok best of luck then

I'm not sure what kind of budget your looking at but there are a good number of sources for sticks.
Googling "fightstick" will bring a good amount.
B15 makes some really cool sticks but they're gonna be more pricey.

And then you've got the madCatz sticks as well as others.
Many of them are easy to modify to suit you better.
Even if one is Clicky out of the box, you should be able to customize to your needs.
