Title: Galaga 88 on a atom D2700 laggy?
Post by: davidgilmour on May 03, 2015, 07:44:16 am
I am gonna build my own Verticade and want to use an atom D2700. I have a netbook with a slower atom and that is playing all games I want to play at full speed (cps1,2, neogeo etc) but has trouble with Galaga 88 with scanlines in mame. It is running at 75% with 0 frameskip.

Will it run at full speed with a 4GB atom D2700 with 0 fs and scanlines on?

Do you have any of these enabled inside your mame.ini,
syncrefresh. ( )
waitvsync.    ( )
tripplebuffer ( )
If any of those are set to 1,try copying the mame.ini inside the  mame ini folder, rename it to galaga88.ini,and set all of the above to 0.if its not a monitor sync issue, the game probably wont run at 100%.

Use the Magic Engine version.  Far better.

No, that didn't work. Strange, it can't run a simple 16 bit game but runs flawlesslesy heavy 24- bit games.

Now you've upset me. Galaga88/90 on the PC engine/TGX is great but Galaga 88 on the arcade is the best! Amazing gfx!
