Title: Normal primer or mdf primer?
Post by: davidgilmour on May 02, 2015, 11:41:13 am
I am gonna prime my mdf cabinet. Can I use a normal regular primer?

I use regular primer, usually whatever is least expensive. I'll do a coat or two, sand, and do a final coat and then sand again. Gives a nice, smooth finish. You will have to pay close attention to any cut surfaces, as they may need filling.

Use a foam roller if you can. I always get really good results with them on mdf.

Ditto on the foam roller. I also tend to use name brand brushes, not the cheap ones.
