Can anyone provide a link to Hyperspin 1.2, all the versions of 1.3x have a known memory leak which noone seems to want to fix. I have Mala up and running 100%, stable as a rock, so naturally I am trying to mess with something else. Already tried google and all the links that show up are malware / virus bs.. Hoping someone from a trusted site might be able to help..

Just opinion, but why rely on something that old and hack-ish when there are better alternatives?

I actually when and browsed the attract mode forums to see what they were doing. The common trend seems to be re-creating hyperspin like themes in attract mode. :dizzy:

There are plenty of attractmode themes not like hyperspin. Most hyperspin like themes on the attractmode forum are rehashes or in progress.

To some degree I suppose. It's one helluva lot easier to build a theme with AM than Hyperspin, for me. And in my experience after an hour or so Hyperspin would sputter and smoke from the disaster known as flash, or more likely it'd stutter through the videos as you scrolled the wheel. And my video card is an R9 290x - there's no justification for the stutter, especially as it only happens in Hyperspin. And the biggest item for me - no widescreen.
I've tried just about every frontend because I too like to set this sort of thing up, configure it, then try to do better. The best analogy I can give is that with Hyperspin you're driving in a nice car, fully loaded. With a 400lb PMS'ing feminist sitting next to you. Attract-Mode has been more than capable in delivering the nice car as well, fully loaded... and there's a 20-pack of condoms just sitting there looking at you in the driver's seat.

There's been some work going on lately, a private beta version was released 3 days ago (for Platinum Supporters) that is supposed to address the wheel stuttering and fix some other bugs. I haven't tried it yet but other users say it's faster. Not sure when it will be publicly available but you might want to keep an eye out and give it a try, it's version 1.4.

I just want them to fix the memory leak.. When I come down to the basement to rock a game of Robotron or Donkey Kong I expect the cab to be ready not looking at a black screen or an !..

Anyone know if any of the 1.4 Beta builds have had any effect on the memory leak. I have read it speed things up, not to worried about that, machine I am using has enough power, got no defense for a frontend that dies everyday however.
