Hi Guys
First post and im up to wiring. Hopefully someone can help me.
Heres my problem:
Ive determined I want 20 gauge wire and looked up various web sites to see that 20 gauge = 0.9mm.
Both these terms are not known to people selling wire.
They all talk in terms such as 32/.19 meaning 32 strands by .19 mm
when I try to calculate back to the 0.9mm nothing works
To give an example
http://www1.jaycar.com.au/productView.asp?ID=WH3000&CATID=22&keywords=&SPECIAL=&form=CAT&ProdCodeOnly=&Keyword1=xxxxxxxxxx&Keyword2=xxxxxxxxxx&pageNumber=&priceMin=&priceMax=&SUBCATID=639 (http://www1.jaycar.com.au/productView.asp?ID=WH3000&CATID=22&keywords=&SPECIAL=&form=CAT&ProdCodeOnly=&Keyword1=xxxxxxxxxx&Keyword2=xxxxxxxxxx&pageNumber=&priceMin=&priceMax=&SUBCATID=639)
I think this wire is too thin but I really want to get it right so I dont have trouble with my .187 discconects from bob roberts
In that example : Quality 13 x 0.12 tinned hook-up wire is what they state
Anyone help with what I should be looking at to the equivalant for 20 gauge
Any help would be greatly appreciated
cheers
