Hi
i was configuring mame (ver 155) using mala (no mame gui - Windows XP) and i was trying to configure 2 spinners and 1 trackball.
all the spinners and trackball works under windows with no problems.
What i want to achieve is to have separate commands: mouse1 on spinner1, mouse2 on trackball and mouse3 on spinner2.
Enablying multimouse on mame.ini i was able to have mouse2 on spinner1 and trackball and mouse3 on spinner2.
How can i separate spinner1 and trackball in order to have separate inputs?
thanks

Are Spinner 1 and the Trackball sharing the same board?
-
the two spinners and one trackball are on the same board (optipack from ultimarc) and that board is connect using usb cable

mmmh, examinating the board, i have spin1 and trackball on P1 side, while spinner2 is on P2 side
so maybe this is the problem, only max two mouse on one usb port?
is it possibile?

i was able to solve, but it was hard :-)
first it is important to enable multiplemouse on mame.ini
after this, using the opti-pac you must know that you can be recognized as two mouses
use one mouse as trackball (x and y axis)
use the second mouse as: X axis for P1 Spinner and Y axis reversed as P2 Spinner
i just needed to reverse the wires ;-)
P.S.
it is a controller/hardware problem, not software problem.
