Title: SOLD
Post by: megashock5 on April 07, 2015, 08:53:18 am
Hey guys. It's been a while since I've posted, but life with two kids is busy.

I'm coming to the realization that I'm just never going to find time to get this thing up and running. It's finished from a construction standpoint, but I don't know enough about wiring to figure out why my Mac isn't recognizing the controls so it's time to move on.

I have two 8-way sticks with six buttons for each, one 4-way stick, a roller ball and Quick spinner. I wired everything to a MiniPAC, but I can't get the emulators to use the buttons and sticks.

The control panel is removable to get it through doorways, and there are casters on the bottom so it rolls.

I have around $500 in it with materials, controls, etc. I'll let it go for $300 if anyone is interested.

Thanks to everyone for tons of help during the build process, I just got in over my head and have no free time now that the kids are older and in tons of activities.

Note: the roller ball was added after this pic was taken, it's in the center where the white circle is

Edit: found a newer pic with the roller - attached

What size monitor was this designed to house?

Sorry, I've been away from the boards for a bit.

I never got to the monitor step, so I'm not positive exactly what will fit there - I built it pretty much to the specifications in the Project Arcade book.

I will try to measure the opening and get back with dimensions.

Thanks!

Ok, I did some measuring.

The width inside is a hair shy of 26"

The depth is about 23" at the bottom and 20" at the top, but take an inch or so to account for bezel and glass.

Hope that helps!
