That's pretty epic.  I made one just like it when I was a kid... except the game was Star Raiders, the computer was an Atari 400, and the cockpit was a refrigerator box.

That game sucks so bad.  I had a car seat mounted to a rolling platform with the control panel on a hinged shelf.  Played that game 5 times tops and flipped that thing.

One spark and something flammable as he's playing with the volume on full blast and that will be his tomb.

cool idea tho. I always thought it would be better to retrofit one of those closets you see people build under their staircases into a MechWarrior/FlightSim style cockpit. That idea is free if any of you own your own home and have a cool wife.

I want to do something similar with Elite Dangerous.

It wouldn't take that much room, maybe a closet.
