Title: 1st Time Builder Needing Some Info.
Post by: tonycrew on March 31, 2015, 07:29:36 pm
Hi all i'm going to be building my own 2 player cab, and was wanting to know some general info please,

1st:- Joysticks: I'm looking at getting U360's for Analogue support because my cab will contain N64,PS2,GC so i will need Analogue support, i will probably fit the ocatagonal restrictor plate, which i can get on ebay, But i've been reading a little bit and feel a bit daunted by the mapping, not so much as creating the maps but the fact that i may have to run cmd's before each game to allow the correct config for none anologue games or edit the mame ini with ALL my games configs, considering like most people there will be thousands of games on there hows this goona work..?

So i guess i'm asking i presume most people don't configure every game...! So whats the best way to do this, or what do others do..?

Thanks for any help.

You can use your frontend in combination with tools like LEDBlinky (payed) or HyperMap (free) set the mappings automatically.

Most common maps are already installed with the driver, no need to make them yourself. The maps are, besides the analog part, THE best feature of the U360s.
