Hi guys,
New to the site and must say i am loving it. :)
Remembering the 80's and 90's. Ahhh.. :)
So like most guys its been a dream of mine to own an arcademachine. So why not build one yourself.
At this point i have been researching a bit and my conclusion is that it should be a Bartop.
Though i need some help from you guys Spec-wise.
Do you think that these parts would be acceptable?

About the computer: Have you considered the Intel NUC? Have you checked the price for a NUC compared to that PC? I recently bought a NUC with an Intel Core i5 CPU, 120 GB SSD and 4 GB of RAM, and it is the fastest computer I have ever had! I have traditonal motherboards in my builds, but for my current build I'm going for the NUC. My NUC fires up Windows 7 in about 12 seconds! (including the automatic logon). And that with just 4GB of RAM! Please consider it.

I have not considered the NUC, but comparing the prices it's more expensive.
Must say I am so much in love with the NES Bartop here and the WeeCade.
So thinking of building a mix of those two.
Though I have not considered a theme for the artwork yet.

Selection joysticks for a build is THE most underestimated part. It depends on the games you want to play (the early 4 ways like pac man or donkey kong, newer fighters like streetfighter or a mix). The magstik plus is a nice solution to switch from 4/8 way easily BUT its a very explicit stick as it is quite stiff and has a very short trow. I would try some sticks before actually mounting them to an expensive cabinet or even better make the mounting of the sticks modular. I tried magstik, Sanwa JLF and ended with the more expensive programmable U360. I could swap them on my CP as you can see here:
