I bought a computer off craigslist and thought this would do it since I brought the JPAC along and the lights went on meaning 15khz output.
Then I get the computer home and hook it up to my cab, and I get the same double image as this thread:

I'm using the 32bit 2013 live CD installed on the HDD. Is there a chance that something has changed on the way to 2015? Would updating GroovyMame to 2015 do anything on this front?

I highly doubt it would. In Linux, with older hardware you're somewhat on your own. Maybe reporting this to the nouveau driver devs might help.

OK, so I buy a new video card...
Just to make sure I don't get another card with this problem, the most cooperative card is any ATI Radeon R100 (7XXX)? Does it have to be R100, or does 7500 (RV200) also work?
I thought this Nvidia would be OK because it is on the approved list for Soft-15k. Guess not. :(

It looks like ATI X300 and X600 are the best compatibility, but my mobo only has AGP, so I ordered a ATI 9250 per this:

*crosses fingers* :)

The problem is not your Nvidia, it is the Linux drivers that don't have proper interlace support for those chipset.
The ATI 9250 will work out of the box.

The ATI card works beautifully! I have another issue now, with some roms not working, but I'll put that in a different thread.
Thanks for the help!
