Title: Acorn Archimedes Emulation Help (long shot!)
Post by: diynot on March 24, 2015, 07:14:55 pm
Hi

I have found several Acorn Archimedes emulators which allow me to boot up Risc OS and then open games by inserting a .ADF floppy image and running the program files.

I was wondering if there is a way of starting any one of the emulators with a command / start up switch which auto boots a particular disk image / ADF file. I'd like to be able to load my favourite Acorn games from a front end on my "MAME" arcade cabinet.

Any suggestions welcome!

Cheers
Lee

I'm not familiar with that/those programs, but it may be possible to write a batch file script to fire it up.

I have done this with several programs that I use in tandem.

I believe Arculator *may* allow launching a disk from commnandline, but I haven't tried that specifically - I will give it a try.

If you know of an Archimedes emulator that allows low resolutions then let me know!
