Title: Question about control panel height
Post by: mackmack1 on March 11, 2015, 06:19:20 pm
I'm in the process of building my machine.   I had a question, what is the ideal height the joystick/button panel should be at?

I realize its sorta subjective but in general what is the typical height you guys have yours at?  I guess it would be relative to your body is what I would need to know.

Someone more knowledgeable than me should confirm this but when I built mine I'm sure I read somewhere that the top of your CP should be roughly inline with your belly button.

I designed mine to be between 35-39"

It's angled of course. The part near my waist is 35" and it slopes upward toward the monitor to 39". Hope that helps!

I've found 35" to the bottom of the control panel is perfect. It's perfect for a 24" barstool and for adult standing height

Here's my pedestal for reference

Thank you, those seem like good heights to start testing for me.
