Hey Guys,
I have a strange request. I just got a glass door upright display fridge and at the top of it, it has a marquee that can be lit up.
i have ZERO photoshop skills so just wondering if anyone who is handy is willing to knock up a marquee for me that I can get printed (or maybe you can print i too?)
The dimensions are 60 cm wide x 22.3cm high and I would like it to be colourful and maybe say
Johno's Bar & Gamesroom
and maybe have some graphics of beer, arcade characters, pins, pool or anything else you may find in a bar or gamesroom!
So is anyone able to help. I would really appreciate it! If you are game I also wouldn't mind some sideart for the fridge to match the marquee.
Please let me know
Cheers

Are there any specific colors that you prefer? Any specific style? Examples of what you like would be good.

My favourite colour is blue mate. Favourite arcade games are donkey kong, pacman and space invaders. I have a Dirty Harry, a goldeneye and a gottlieb James Bond pinball machine. I like beer (any really) but my pool table light is miller genuine draft and I like playing pool.
So something using those ideas would be good.

Here is a draft and an example of how it could be done.
It is based on my personal taste and opinion of what "arcade style gfx" should look like... and the simplicity in the design is by purpose, in order to make it look good when printed and backlighted.
There are others on this forum that are way better artists than me though.

If it were me, I'd do something that paid homage to the Tapper Marquee.

Great idea.
For reference, here it is:

Le Chuck did a take on the Tapper Marquee for a commission job.

That looks pretty good mate. I like it.

I did up two for shits and gigs. Trick to marquees, IMHO, is a single visual idea. They can be full of color and attractive, but they can't mix themes, have competing ideas, and draw the eye to more than one area.

Pretty nice Le Chuck, but I think you need darker beer and thicker foam

As I said, there are others here way more talented than me :applaud:
