Title: TB & Spinner to one input?
Post by: crashwg on December 22, 2003, 08:40:52 am
I noticed on oscar's site that there's a tutorial on connecting a TB & Spinner to a mouse using a DPDT switch but i didn't think you had to do that, i figgured you could just hook them both up at the same time
Is there any harm in doing this? Will it work? IPAC, Mouse hack, any other option?

I thought you could hook them both up at the same time, as long as you didn't mind accidentally moving the spinner affecting your trackball games.  I think I might have heard of some people having problems with this, though.

Options -
Opti-Pac
Oscar USB mouse interface
Hacked mouse
Built-In (Imperial, Betson Trackball)
Hagstrom ME4
Happ USB interface ($$$)

Might need some diodes to keep things flowing in the right direction....

I think the signals from the two sets of optics will interfere with each other if connected together, thus the switch is needed.  Could be wrong tho...
