I just wrapped up the physical construction of my cabinet over the weekend prior to it going out to the paint booth, and decided that I'd like to affix a metal plate to the interior (or exterior depending on tradition) of the cabinet that looks similar to the old ones that came with arcade cabinets. Nothing too fancy, just my and my buddy's name, date, and serial #00000001. Has anyone done this? If so, who do you recommend? I figured I'd stamp in the names, date and SN.

SFA-XXX.
SFA- for the name of my arcade, XXX is the game number.

I had a metal one done up an engraver here in Calgary. Any business that does name plates, etching, etc should be able to make you a real metal one. Then I added the serial number with a small hammer and punch set. All in it was under $20 including the gas it took me to drive across the city :D. Did the artwork myself.mits based off a vectored art file floating around these forums (which I can't seem to find right now...)

Thanks for the info, that's good to know. I looked around following your tip about the vectored art and found this:

Thanks for the insight and pointer in the right direction!
