I've been helping some members here with artwork printing over the past few months and I'm looking to make a change and was looking for some feedback.
I've been using my standard vinyl for arcade marquees. The vinyl works well but is not meant to be "backlit" as a normal arcade marquee would be and the vinyl can look "washed out" at times when backlit. That said I am considering making a purchase of some 10 mil translite material specifically made to be backlit in order make those marquees pop and super easy to install. The only issue I'm having is justifying the purchase of the materials as it would be a rather large quantity and I'm not sure that I would ever use it for anything else other than printing marquees for the community.
That said I was thinking of gauging interest here and offering a $10 marquee translite to the first 30 or 40 people in order to help with the initial cost of the material. My main concern is paying for materials that will end up being surplus and I'm just trying to cover any huge out of pocket expense. If there is enough demand as posted here I will order the material and start printing right away.
The translite will not have adhesive and can either be sandwiched between two pieces of plexi, taped to the back of plexi, or custom cut to fit in any holding bracket that you may have. Again, these are made to be backlit and will look great!
If you are interested can you please post here and if we can get 30 people I will order the material and fill all of the orders. The $10 price would cover any marquee up to 30" wide and 12" tall. If you would like a larger size please PM me for a quote. Shipping will be about $5-$6 so count on a total of about $15-$16 out the door. If ordering multiple marquees the shipping price will not increase. YOU MUST SUPPLY THE ARTWORK as I do not stock any images and only print based on customer art provided.
Thanks for you feedback everyone!

I am. I can send you the artwork asap. Thanks.
-
I would interested as well. I was going to have you do some artwork anyways so this works out well.
-
Yeah, I'd be down for a few
-
If your looking for numbers, I would be down for 3.
-
Count me in for 2. I need a week to get my art ready. I think I will also order a CPO at the same time, if I can get that art ready as well this week.
-
Do you have an option to combine shipping?
-
I think you'd be safe ordering the material.... :)

Did you read the first post ?? :dunno
Shipping will be about $5-$6 so count on a total of about $15-$16 out the door. If ordering multiple marquees the shipping price will not increase.

Cool stories, brahs.
Let the man know how many you'll buy, people. I'd like to order this for my ZapCon project!
-
In for at least two.
-
I'm in for one.
-
Good to see some interest here as I think the translites would be a nice addition to services being offered.
So right now I think we are at 8 pieces. If we can get to 30 I will order the material and ask for everyone to send over their art files. I feel like I'm running a Groupon, lol. Once we hit 30 pieces the "deal is on." I am in the Western suburbs of Chicago so for those of you that would prefer to pick up (in some cases I may be able to meet you half way) you will not be asked to pay that shipping charge. I do not profit on shipping. I'm trying to buy some shorter shipping tubes and ship USPS Priority for under $6 total.
FOR THOSE OF YOU THAT HAVE ORDERED A MARQUEE FROM ME IN THE PAST please contact me and I will replace your existing vinyl marquee with a translite marquee for free. All I ask is that you cover your shipping charge please. No reason for you to miss out on an improved version of what you have already ordered.
-
Count me in for one.

Sounds like fantastic opportunity.
Can someone tell me more about the product? It's how thin? Can it be cut? Can it be edge lit or is it more like paper?

This is something that can be easily cut with scissors, box knife, exacto knife, etc. I can print and cut to your requested size or I can print and you can trim to your desired size. This isn't something that would be edge lit but backlit from a bulb or LED. This is the same material used in light box advertising and also for arcade translites. It has more of a thick paper/plastic feel to it and it's 10 mils thick (1 mils is equal to one thousandth of an inch). Hope that helps.
-
I'd like to order 2 prints. Looking forward to seeing these!
Thanks
-
At this price, I would probably do one and maybe two.
-
I'd be in for two
-
I would easily do three right now, plus more in the future. I think you're safe ordering the material.
-
5, although they are projects that aren't even started yet.
-
Actually, I'm down for 4, now that I counted.
-
I am also interested, will take one. I guess i will need to start working on some art work. I will get back with you soon
-
Count me in for one as well
Thanks
-
Thanks to everyone for checking in. Looks like we are at about 20 pieces at this point. Let's see if we can get 10 more marquees requests in the next day or so and then I will order. I like to work fast so get your art ready and I will bang these out quickly. For those of you that posted a specific number I'm assuming that you are 100% committed to that quantity purchase as that is factoring into my decision to order materials. If you aren't 100% committed (that's OK) just let me know so I can adjust these preorder numbers accordingly.
Thanks again guys. I will check in again tomorrow and see where we are at. Again, I appreciate everyone taking the time to post here. It helps me out and I look forward to returning the favor.
-
Awesome. What format/specifications do you have so I can prep stuff?
-
I don't even have a complete artwork design fleshed out but please put me down for 2 at this price. ;D
-
Not interested in buying, but just a question as I'm in the business myself. Is there a reason why you are using a non-adhesive based substrate instead of using a printable translucent adhesive-backed vinyl?
-
As of this morning it looks like we are at 22 pieces.
As far as files formats go an eps, pdf, or very high res jpeg would even be fine for marquee sized prints. My printer is CMYK and I prefer that you create and export at 300dpi with your custom work when at all possible.
Not interested in buying, but just a question as I'm in the business myself. Is there a reason why you are using a non-adhesive based substrate instead of using a printable translucent adhesive-backed vinyl?
The reason I am not using translucent adhesive-backed vinyl is to simplify (by virtually eliminating) the installation process and allow marquees to be swapped easily. This also eliminates any installation mistakes (air bubbles, misalignment on plexi, etc.) for those that aren't familiar with working with adhesive-backed vinyl. The non adhesive marquee is a simple drop in and go without any hiccups.
-
Yeah, I'd prefer non-adhesive as well.
Do we send you the actual files? Or would downloadable links work?
-
I would ask that you send me your printable file directly without sending me external links. I do use Dropbox as well for those of you that may have larger files and would like to share your file that way.
-

I would send you links to my own Dropbox account.
-
Oh yeah, that's fine. I just didn't want people to send download links to random sites and ask me to search for their artwork. Sorry for any confusion on that!
-
Sweet. I'll finalize my stuff up, and then when you give the word I'll send my links! Looking forward to this.
-
I'm looking forward to this as well. It should be fun to get these done for you guys and it's nice to give back to a community that has helped me so much in the past!
Once we hit the 30 mark I will ask for everyone's artwork and we can do payment with Paypal. I'm thinking it should take me about 4-5 business days to receive materials after they are ordered and then from there I'm shooting to print and ship everyone's order requests within 48 hours of materials received. I can normally get requested work printed and out the door within 2 days since I print out of my home.
-
Bump me up from my 2. I now am in for 3 for $30 definitely, maybe 4 soon. I have been turning and burning on restoring a marquee and I am liking the way it pops. I'll take a couple extra as wall art, and it will be finished tomorrow. If I have time in the next few days, I will have another marquee ready as well.
-
I have an updated "pre-order" list running at the bottom of the first post. If for some reason I have your requested number incorrect (or if you have decided to hold off for now) please let me know so I can update that list. It will help to keep me organized on this and I can also update order status for everyone easily.
I am going to price these marquees at $10 for the first 40 marquees ordered (although I will order materials after 30 pieces have been paid for). After the 40th marquee is purchased the standard order price per marquee will be in the $15-17 range.
If I end up "double-striking" (printer throws down 2 layers of ink per pass versus the standard 1 layer) the marquees for greater color pop during illumination I may also place a glossy laminate over each marquee. This will protect the marquee from scratching during handling, installation, and shipping. This will be included on these orders at NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE. If a single pass of ink is all that is necessary to attain optimum results then the laminate will not be necessary as the single layer of ink would not be as prone to scratching/scuffing during normal handling. It should be easy for me to make that assessment by doing a simple comparison behind a light source before printing everyone's orders.
Thanks again for all of the input!

Got it, JimmyU and updated the list. Thanks.

That's 30! Whoo!
-
So it looks like we are at the 30 mark. At this point I'm asking everyone on the pre-order list that has NOT received a PM from me to PM me with "MARQUEE" in the subject line. I will reply to your PM providing you with an email where you can send me your marquee artwork and I can provide you with payment info. I found a local distributor for the translite material so that should speed up turnaround time exponentially! I may be able to get the first run of marquees in the mail by Monday!

well I sent you a text, so there! :p
-
So my purchase was going to be a rush the rock but it turns out the file i have is somewhat low res. Anybody have a decent version of this marquee?
-
You can put me down for two..if it's not too late.
-
Just an update here. I picked up material yesterday and did a test print marquee and I'm really liking the results on these translites! I ordered smaller shipping tubes (2" x 12") for these marquees to ship in and those should be here by Wednesday. That said, I will start printing marquees on Monday and have the goal to be shipping on or before Wednesday. Anyone that is ordering additional decals (side art, cpo, etc.) will obviously have a larger shipping container and I have those on hand.
One quick question if you all don't mind...Would you guys prefer for these marquees to be CUT to exact spec (they will obviously be PRINTED to requested specifications) or would you like a little extra translite on the outiside boundaries of the marquee so that you can trim and fit if need be? Personally I think it's better to have a little extra than fall a little short and these marquees can be cut down with scissors, a utility knife, or similar. Makes no difference to me either way!
Finally, if everyone can check the order status list on the first post and let me know if I have made any errors concerning your personal requests that would be great. No need to contact me if it's accurate but please DO contact me if I have something that is not correct. If you are on the list and haven't received a PM from me informing you on how to submit your printing request please let me know about that as well.
Thanks again guys...looks like smooth sailing from here!
-
Leave a skirt, I prefer to have a bit of wiggle room and it's super easy to take material off - not so to put it back on
-
Payment and files sent!
-
On mine, the bigger 2 having some border is ideal. If you feel pretty good about cutting to size on the smaller one, that is preferred, but I have no problem trimming down myself.
-
I'd prefer to leave a small half inch border around these just in case. It's better to have a little extra that you can trim off versus being short somewhere and having to order a new marquee.
-
Paid and file sent.
Mine is going to need the top corners rounded to put in the racing cab. Does this material cut like acrylic? Would a router and flush trim bit work to match it to the original piece of plexi on my cab?
-

+1 for mine too. 1/2 inch would do nicely.
Thanks

This is not like acrylic. It is a thin/flexible material close to the thickness of a business card. I cannot recommend using a router bit on since I've never attempted to do so. I would place your plexi on top of the marquee using it as a template and cut along the plexi with a utility knife or something similar. You could even trace the outline of the plexi with a pencil directly onto the translite and cut it with a pair of scissors. Those seem to be much easier/safer options in my opinion.
-
Emailed and payment sent
Id prefer a little more for trimming around the edges just in case.
-
My mistake. Then I am with the others. Leave a bit on the edge to trim it down.
-
Can I still be put down for 1 and shipped to Ont. Canada ??
-
Payment sent, still doing work on the marquee design so it may be awhile till I get that to you, no rush here though.
-
Ok, I'll get in on this. Put me down for one.
-
Paid for 4.
-
So are you guys just going to squish these between two pieces of glass, or is there another trick to this?
-
So are you guys just going to squish these between two pieces of glass, or is there another trick to this?
marquee retainers , scotch tape, sandwich between plexi, etc
-
Sent art and paid last night for number two.
-

Sure, I can ship First Class International to Canada for $10. So when you pay for your marquee you would be at $10 for the marquee and $10 for shipping which would have you at $20 shipped.
-
You will notice status changes on the first post today with updates stating "READY TO SHIP". This means your marquee(s) have been printed and are ready to go out the door. I am waiting on smaller shipping tubes that I ordered for these marquees and they should be here on or before Wednesday. I will then update status to "SHIPPED" when they go out and you will receive tracking information from me via email or Paypal.
For those of you that do not have your artwork submitted that is OK as there is no rush. If your payment has been submitted you have reserved your marquee at the $10 price. If you have not sent payment then your marquee(s) is not reserved. After 40 paid marquees at the $10 price I will continue to do marquee requests at $16 plus shipping.
If anyone has questions just let me know. I hope I'm not confusing anyone!
-
Can I get in on one more? It'd be going to a different address than the previous 3.
-
Can I get in on one more? It'd be going to a different address than the previous 3.
Yep, no problem at all. Just send it to the email address I set up for these if that's not too much trouble?
-
Have these started shipping?
-
No, I'm waiting on special shipping tubes that I ordered to ship the marquees in. They are due to arrive today so most likely shipping will start tomorrow. One marquee has shipped because it was packaged in a larger container with a full art package and didn't require the smaller tube.
-
The shipping tubes just arrived so I am going to start packaging and shipping now. Check the first post for your status. I will update as best I can over the next couple hours.
-
OK, so the first batch is going out now. I'm heading to the post office after I'm done with this post.
So in the matter of 8 days we went from a general idea, to ordering materlials, and all the way to a finished product that is now shipping...nice job guys! You can check the first post to check your status. If there is a discrepancy please contact me so I can make any corrections needed. If you are marked as "SHIPPED" and did not receive tracking via Paypal and would like your tracking number please email me and I will be happy to send it over. Everyone on this shipment should have their marquees on or before Saturday.
I look forward to your comments/feedback once you receive them!
-
Thanks man. Looking forward to it.

Christmas is coming in February. Thanks again!

I will be printing the second batch of marquees this weekend and shipping Monday. I will update status on the first post!
-
Received my marquee today, PM'ed you some quick questions.
-
As the marquees start to arrive I wanted to let you know what to expect when receiving them.
There are two sides of the marquee. One side has a matte finish while the other side has a high gloss reflective finish. The marquee is actually printed on the matte finish side (not the gloss side) as that is the side that absorbs the ink. The gloss side is the back side of the marquee which aids in it's illumination qualities. When you receive your marquee it may look dark and dull as is (no glass cover or light source). This is normal of most arcade marquees as they are designed to be back lit. When you place the marquee behind plexi or glass that plexi/glass will give it a gloss look and when you turn on your light source from behind the marquee it will then look very colorful and vibrant. I just want to clear that up in the event anyone wonders why the marquee isn't printed on the gloss side as that is not how these work.
Another wave of marquees will be shipping tomorrow (Monday). If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask!

PBJ, thanks for taking the time to post your pics...I really appreciate it. Thanks to those of you that have contacted me via PM as well.
The second batch of marquees shipped yesterday and I've updated the first post to reflect all status changes. If your status seems incorrect please contact me so I can correct it. As always if anyone has any questions don't hesitate to contact me as I will be happy to help to the best of my ability!

Glad to help, thanks for the marquees.

Received mine yesterday, very pleased. I'm will take some photos as well, but I am waiting for my new digital camera to arrive in the mail.
-
Mine came in yesterday. Colors are beautiful, will be a while before I get them lit but they're legit.

I really liked the colors in your marquees as well, Le Chuck and Vigo. Awesome art. If you haven't already, do yourself a favor and hold them up to a light source (or the sun) and the transformation of colors with this material is pretty remarkable.

I know from personal experience that prepaying for something that you've never seen before from someone that you haven't dealt with before isn't always the wisest thing to do these days. To thank each one of you for your trust I'm going to honor the $10 per marquee price for all the members that are on the presale list (located in the first post) for all personal future orders. So any time you need a new marquee just contact me and it's $10. I now place my trust in you that you will use this "thank you" discount for personal machines/projects and not for financial gains (reselling marquees).
As I would still like to make this service advantageous for those that are not on the preorder list I am going to set the price for all other BYOAC member purchases to $15 per marquee.
I hope that this helps some of you that may be working within a budget. As a husband, a father, and an arcade enthusiast I can certainly understand the importance of keeping costs as low as possible!

Very cool bro. I will certainly go to you again. I got Rush the Rock in the mail yesterday. It looks good. I hope to put it in my cab and see it lit up this weekend.I need to get a hole punch as it will be behind the piece of plexi that is held up with screws rather than a retainer tray/bracket.

My artwork arrived today (my post office is almost as terrible as the weather has been)
looks kinda dull when not backlit:

but put a light source behind it and it looks AMAZING!

This is just held up in front of the room light, cant hold it up to the window cause its still overcast/snowing/freezing raining out.
I'll be recreating a ton more artwork that my cabs need thanks to stpcore!
-
Thanks for the feedback guys and thanks for the pics, Malenko. I appreciate you guys sharing.
-
I'm in for one as soon as I figure out what art I'm going to use.
-
My 4 came in today, and they look great! I'll post a photo when I get them mounted.
-
I've ordered a translite marquee from stpcore, and at the same time, asked him about printing some sideart and a control panel overlay.
He gladly helped me with what I was intending to do and made suggestions.
I received all that artwork this week and I can honestly that everything he sent me is beautiful and perfect. The translite marquee is just awesome, that material does wonders. Every print is perfect, and the vinyl he's using for the sideart + CPO is quality material, doesn't feel cheap at all. Very satisfied with the results !
I'm so glad that I decided to go with him for my artwork needs. He always answered promptly to all my questions and offered advice all the way thru. I just can't thank him enough for everything he did for me. This guy is a real asset to this community and I'll never hesitate to have him do some prints again for me in the future. The artwork should be installed this weekend and I'll post pics when I do.
Again, thanks for everyting, Ken ! :applaud:

Since the task of removing two screws and inserting these marquees seems to be too onerous for others on this forum, I present another installed picture:

Obviously I will need to tweak the centering and plug a couple of light leaks, but this is a nice improvement over the cheap print out in there previously.

merp. Mine also involves getting a piece of plexi cut, replacing the light fixture, and getting the cab moved so I can get a pictue of the front :)

Waiting for my digital camera to come in the mail. Was coming Wednesday, but delayed to next Monday. When you get a camera for $200 below retail, sometimes inventory issues crop up. Also buying new plexi and cutting over the weekend.

I was wondering how you posted that one, PBJ, ha! Thanks for taking the time to do that.
In addition, thanks to everyone that took some time to share with their experience in working with me. I really appreciate working with you guys on your projects and hope to do so again whenever you need some help.

Thanks again for the prints. At first I was worried because the print looked a little faded. But once mounted and lit up it turned out great. Will do business with again

OK, I finally got the chance to take some photos and mount my marquee. A little background to my project. I have a dedicated Trog Machine. Parts specific to a dedicated Trog are hard to come by. I have multiple Marquees for Trog kits, but they marquees in the kits are taller and less wide. I needed to add a inch and a half to the sides to make it fit in my dedicated machine. I photoshopped a new marquee with the needed width and stpcore printed it out for me. Here are my results.
Side by Side
On the top is an original Silk Screen printed Trog Marquee. Below is the modified extra wide one stpcore printed for me. The biggest thing I noticed is that the black levels are a bit dimmer. The black outlines are turned to a dark gray. My guess is that the material must be suck in the ink quite a bit, and it is probably a result of the material rather than the printer.
On the flip side. White was brilliant! Very bright, vibrant and pure. A marquee with a lot of white space is going to be stunning unlit and lit. Compare the white space around the word "TROG"

Color
I have to admit, when I sent this off to stpcore, I was in a panic about color. All my test prints on my home photo printer and the big expensive color printer at my work looked like garbage. Have you ever tried to print pure cyan on a printer? You would think that a CMYK based printer would be able to print pure cyan. Nope. It all came out as medium blue. Bloop, the dino in this picture was coming out about the same color as the background. Needless to say. stpcore nailed it. All the colors look great.

Sharpness
The marquee was very sharp and detailed. If you press your face against it, you can see signs that it was printed, but from a viewing distance of only a foot away, none of that visible in the least.
I actually put the sharpness to the test. Unbeknownst to stpcore (but knownst to me) I but a micro-signature into my marquee. In the splatter background I added to the left and right margins, I hid "VIGO - 2015". It came out perfectly sharp and clear.

With Plexi
I wanted to show this because the plexi does a lot to add a glossy sheen and actually brings back a bit of the saturation lost due to the material being used. It looks good!

Backlit
Jaw dropped. Beautiful. My only complaint is that I need a wider light than the stock one in place now, as I now want to capture every little bit of the soft glow of electric sex gleaming from the marquee space with this beautiful translite in place.

I want to include a close up of Trog here, because I think it is good to note that the original silk screened marquee used a couple ink free spots on Trog's nose, lip and fingertip. I was worried that shine would be lost in translation to a digital print, but luckily it still looks great.

Final Verdict
This last image is the nail in the coffin of why I am a incredibly pleased with the translite. I took images of the three materials I had side by side to see how they looked backlit. I am not surprised that the translite looks better than the $10 kinkos print I had done a few years back. But I was really surprised to see how much the translite outperformed the original silk screen marquee. Notice that the silk screen blue background by Trog's eye looks almost black? Light simply doesn't emanate as well through the silk screen as much as the translite does.

I'm in for a couple of these eventually and I was already excited but that summary/review from Vigo is a great push for the quality of these, I'm pretty excited to get my artwork finished up and put a new marquee on my cabinets.
-
Got mine today and Im very happy with it for my first marquee. Here's a before and after. Keep in mind I need to find a better light to put in my light box. right now it came with an 18" Flourescent fixture and I cant find any bulb that size over 15watts. And seeing as how my light box inside is 23-3/4" wide the sides are missing alot of the main light,,,,, Any light suggestions would be welcome by the way, feel free to pm me....
Actually looking at it in the basement, these pictures don't do it justice, its much brighter than it shows, even at the sides, might need a new camera :-)

Hey Vigo...thanks for taking time for a very fair and balanced review of this material. I think you hit on all of the key points and I could not have summed it up any better. :applaud:
-
Happy to do it. It gave me a chance to play with my camera as well. Thanks again for the awesome print job.

As I would still like to make this service advantageous for those that are not on the preorder list I am going to set the price for all other BYOAC member purchases to $15 per marquee.
Will this offer still be around in a month or two? I've got two junk cabinets that I'm doing a quickie fix-up with a 60-in-1 and a Pandora's Box 2 setup. Once I get some time to sit down and hammer out some graphics, I'd like to get marquees for both. I haven't worked with much besides JPGs, but you said 300dpi for those, correct?

Absolutely, that is a standing offer to all members here. When you get your art together let me know. Although 300dpi is preferred, often a lesser quality is perfectly acceptable for an arcade marquee. Thanks!

Hi there, new member to byoac.
I really like the look of these, definitely put me down for one! Beats the pants off of taped together printer paper. :P
I have a photoshop file I can send of my artwork soon, need to cut about .5" to 1" off the canvas.
If the fit ends up a little large can it be easily trimmed down?
-
This is my first build. I'm too late for the $10 deal but i still want to do business with you. I just finished designing my artwork for the marquee last night. Can't wait until I can light it up. I've attached a proof of my design if anyone wants to offer their opinion on it. I appreciate any feedback.

Sorry for the late reply. I don't always get notified of posts through my email for some reason! The marquees can be trimmed down with a utility knife or even ordinary scissors.

Marquee looks good. Feel free to PM me when you are ready to print!

I wanna get two done.....but no idea of what designs. Where are you guys getting your layout designs. This'll be my first marquee.

Hey,
I am working on my first arcade cabinet build and I am having a ton of fun. I almost have everything put together and I am starting to look for side art, marquee and control panel artwork. I see that you are able to print all three.
From what I am seeing you are offering primarily a printing service using equipment and skills on the manufacturing side. With pre-selected artwork does the price vary at all depending on the images chosen for my project?
I am loving what I am seeing so far. Your goods are turning out great for people! I was reading from the beginning and totally would have taken a chance on your $10 up front product cost and I am glad so many others had the same faith in you. Clearly you are an asset to this community! I look forward to hearing from you and I appreciate your time.

Hi Korn,
Thanks for posting here. My fees are minimal and cover the costs of materials (vinyl, ink, application tape, etc) and my prices do not vary based on the type of artwork provided. I'd you have 2 different designs and they are the same size they will be the same price. I provide quotes based on dimensions and not based on design. Hope that helps!
-
That definitely does help me quite a bit. I am wondering if you would be able to point me in the direction of where to find some decent artwork. Is it taboo to use images that are already out their and floating around on the net or have been crafted?
I believe you have e-mailed me and I will get the dimensions put together and sent to you soon but would like to narrow down the artwork prior to that as well. I appreciate your time and you seem to have many happy arcade hobbyists that support your work. Keep it up!
-
A number of people who share there artwork here, and as long as you are using art that was posted to be shared or you get permission from the creator, then it is not taboo at all. You can poke around the project announcements and artwork boards here and see if there is anything you like and even if the artwork files are not posted, it doesn't hurt to ask to use the design and see if you can get a high resolution copy.
You can also start your own artwork thread and people here are very helpful in threshing out artwork for a cabinet. Starting a thread to work out what you want on your cabinet is a really great way to get art that you will be happy with.

I'm interested 20+ marquees, but I don't have artwork. I just need replacements for faded and cracked originals.
SUggestions on places to get artwork?
For example:
Hydrothunder (X2)
Shinobi
MK1
MK2
MK3
Plus many more.

After reviewing this thread this newbie very interested in ordering 19 marquees. I have a project room undergoing remodel where I have incorporated back lit frames in a soffit in a arcade themed game room. This product would be perfect!
What is the procedure to order? PM stpcore or other method?
Thanks in advance for any assistance.
-
I'm in the same boat as Bilko. I'd like to get reproductions of existing marquees however.
-
If people are looking for the marquee for MK series, it looks pretty simple. I can try putting one together. and post it here for everyone to DL.
-
I sent you a private message hoping to get this printed
thanks

If you guys don't mind can you please not post marquees in this thread? I believe an artwork thread exists and those would be better suited for there. Thanks!
-
My bad. Will do.

Can you make an original replacement for Mr. Do?

Can you make an original replacement for Mr. Do?
There is a vector image of the Mr. Do marquee here - http://vectorlib.free.fr/MrDO/ (http://vectorlib.free.fr/MrDO/)
Not sure if it is already to original size or would need to be resized but since it is a vector image should be fairly easy to print to size ! ( looks like it is currently 23.4" x 6.5" @ 300DPI when exported to photoshop ) - IF that is the size you need it and is the correct marquee - let me know and I'll upload a .png version to dropbox if you need it in .png rather than .ai format
-
I'll grab some measurements
-
Hi Ken I need some marquees made mate. Will send pm with what I need. Thx Joe
-
hello friends.
Here is an image I'd like printed. Its 96dpi. I've always heard that dpi should be higher for printing. But this is pixel art. So...
How do you think it will look printed on the translite?
I know OP wants the file sent in email... Should I have this printed?
-
if you dont mind jaggies theres no harm in scaling that up. Looks like it could be easily vectorized, but then you looks the pixel look.
-
stpcore, if you are still printing these, I'd like to place an order.
PM sent.
-
I'm interested in placing an order, are you still printing these marquee's on translite?
If you are, how do I go about placing an order? The system won't let me PM you, and I don't see an email access.

I would like a few backlit marquee's for a few megatouch aurora's. The originals i have say "powered by Ion 2009" but im running 2012-2014 on them. What would i need to do to get some made up that either just say "Megatouch" using the newer style megatouch logo, or possible just change the 2009 to 2012 and 2014.
I can Photoshop but im not familiar with the format you need and if there is any rgb color profile you need.
