Some guys making their own JAMMA game... I love the cab. Simple artwork, a throwback to the 80s.

Good share! I joined the mailing list. I'm not seeing 6 buttons on a shump.

I'm really excited about this. Such a cool project. Reminds me a little of Yotusya's Macross for some reason though. They should hire him to design their artwork.

I thought the same thing. They mentioned that the Dynamo cabinet they used had 6 buttons but the game will only use three.

I love this idea. So cool!

Shame it's a horizontal game... But it would go nicely with my Hellfire. ;D

I just found the sky curser web site and was checking to see if it was posted.
It look interesting. I wonder what the price will be.

Pricing info from an interview by Retro Video Gamer (http://www.retrovideogamer.co.uk/index.php?topic=5549.0 (http://www.retrovideogamer.co.uk/index.php?topic=5549.0)).
Skycurser release is planned for February 2016.
It will be available as:
- dedicated cabinet: thousands of dollars.
- conversion kit (incl. marquee, control panel overlay and side art decal): $1,000.
- PCB only: $300.
The conversion kit will be available for both Euro/US upright cabinets and Japanese candy cabs.
The JAMMA board is AMD based (can be used for other games), the game runs from an encrypted USB key.
Game updates will be sent on USB key.

The most buttons on a SHMUP since Daioh..... ::)
It looks cool though, totally support what they are doing.

I NO RITE!!!! Excited???

$300 might be too rich for my blood. I'm really excited to see this project though.
-
I'm more intrigued about this board that can run other games. That in itself might be worth investing in.

:blah:are they doing a SDK, and will they alow others to releas games for it?
